1. Who we are

 

Maida Care is an independent agency based in London. We connect qualified wellbeing practitioners with care homes, families, carers and charities, offering classes, workshops, therapies and live entertainment designed to enhance quality of life for residents.

2. Use of this website

  • You must use this website lawfully and not in any way that may cause harm to Maida Care, its users or third parties.

  • Content on this site is for general information only and may be updated at any time without notice.

  • We take care to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee all information is complete, up to date or error-free.

3. Our services

  • Services include holistic therapies, mindfulness and movement, creative wellbeing and entertainment for care homes, residents, families, carers and charities.

  • Services are subject to availability and may vary depending on practitioner schedules, location and suitability for residents.

  • Sessions will always be delivered by fully qualified, insured practitioners with Enhanced DBS certificates.

4. Bookings & payments

  • Bookings are confirmed once payment has been received (unless otherwise agreed in writing).

  • Fees must be paid in advance unless we have agreed alternative arrangements.

  • Cancellations: We understand that sometimes things change. If you need to cancel your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may incur the full treatment fee, as the practitioner has set this time aside for you.

  • Refunds are at our discretion and will not be given once a service has been delivered.

5. Health & safety

  • Some services involve movement, touch or sensory activities. It is the responsibility of the care home, family member or carer booking the service to ensure residents are fit to participate.

  • Any health conditions that may affect participation must be disclosed in advance.

  • Practitioners will adapt sessions to individual needs but cannot provide medical treatment or replace professional healthcare.

6. Liability

  • Maida Care and its practitioners will take all reasonable care in delivering services.

  • We are not liable for:

    • Any loss or injury arising from inaccurate health information provided to us.

    • Indirect or consequential loss (such as business interruption or loss of income).

    • Issues beyond our reasonable control (such as illness, emergencies or force majeure events).

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the service booked.

7. Partnerships with charities

  • Charitable partnerships will be governed by separate agreements setting out roles, responsibilities, costs and evaluation measures.

  • Case studies or impact data may be shared publicly with prior consent from the charity partner.

8. Practitioners

  • All practitioners working with Maida Care must provide proof of qualifications, insurance, Enhanced DBS checks and references.

  • Practitioners are engaged on a freelance basis and are responsible for their own tax, insurance and compliance obligations.

9. Intellectual property

  • All content on this website (text, images, branding, materials) belongs to Maida Care unless otherwise stated.

  • You may not copy, reproduce or distribute our content without prior written permission.

10. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy which you can read here. Please review it to understand how we handle your data.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on our website. Continued use of our services means you accept any changes.

12. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
